Jeff's BAD Day......

I know we can all say that we have bad days, but for Jeff a bad day just gets worse and worse. It started off as a Monday to begin with, which is rarely any good and went down hill from there. The icing on the cake was this.....

Yes thats right a full palet of fence block into the back window and beyond. It moved the cab of the truck about three inches forward, bent the front of the bed and broke the back window (the 2nd window in less than a year). Jeff has been steaming ever since it happened, he looks at the truck and gets fired up again. He took it in this morning to get an estimate and it will be anywhere from $2500-$4500 depending on if the whole roof of the truck has to be replaced. They will try to just bend it back but they are not sure that will work, so time will tell.

These pictures don't look terrible other than the window.

Looks can be deceiving when it comes to auto body repair.

We had decided to get busy on the block wall, and so thought we would do one pallet at a time (which by the way we have done before). So at lunch yesterday Jeff went and picked up a pallet and on the way from work yesterday evening he hit his brakes a little to hard (because of his instincts at a yellow light), had it been me I would have gone through the yellow light but not Jeff. Jeff says last night "sorry I broke your truck". Yes it is very frustrating and our weekend trip is cancelled but it is just a truck and can be fixed. So Monday morning it goes in with at least a week in the shop and a $500 deductible (thank goodness for insurance) hopefully it will be good as new.

It's ok though right.....we all have bad days now and then?!?!?

Did you tell him that if he wants to be hauling block around he needs to use his own car? What a bummer that it was your truck that's smashed.

Let me know if you need a ride anywhere- I'm home!

ouch! For a guy that spot cleans his truck & car every weekend I can see why this makes him so mad.
I hope no blocks were injured during impact :) Just think no weekend plans... more time to work on the wall.

Wow! Second window in a year. Well a quiet weekend at home. How is everyone going to get to church Sunday in the corvette or do you get a loaner car? Best of luck with being at home.
