Today I turned 36 and Caelin turned 10! My life is flying by! The day Caelin was born she could have easily come on the 5th but decided she wasn't quite ready and wanted to be born on my birthday. What a great gift she was. Over the past year Caelin has grown and matured into quite the amazing daughter. She excels in school, loves her extra curricular activities (NEHS, Activity Days), and is dependable so I can leave her if I have to. It really is hard to believe that 10 years have passed us by since she came into our family. Happy Birthday Caelin! I love you lots!
As for me the past year has brought on new adventures and new challenges as a wife and mother which I believe will always be the case for the years to come. I am healthy and happy and couldn't ask for anything more! My kids are healthy and are great kids even when they get under my skin. And the best gift of all is my amazing husband that treats me well and lets me get bent out of shape when I need to and is there for me when I fall apart to pick me back up! He did however give me a hard time about being 36 and creeping closer to the big 4-0!
Today was mostly just another day, school and everyday life. I wrote Jeff an email yesterday and was half serious half not it was entitled...
My Birthday Wish!
I want to sleep in and you worry about breakfast and lunches. Change the babies, worry about if Jett is going pee in the toilet, listen to the babies fuss, take snacks to Caelin's class for her birthday, feed babies lunch lay them down for naps, make sure house is picked up and dinner is taken care of. I really just want a day off! I think I got spoiled while we were gone. Hope you have a good day! Love you!
My wish did not come true, however I did have a great day. I took sliced apples and peanut butter (one of Caelin's favorite snacks) to her class, got a delivery from a fabulous Visiting Teacher, a BIG jar of Nutella! Now if you have never tried it and you enjoy chocolate it is a fun snack by the spoonfuls. I have gotten many texts, calls, and birthday wishes from facebook friends. My day has really been brightened by all the love. Jeff brought home a dozen red roses and bought me a new patio lounger (so I can sun bathe and get ready for summer). Then we all enjoyed dinner at Texas Roadhouse (Caelin's choice). So really could I have asked for anything more? I think not!
Caelin got a visa gift card from us and a basketball. She was excited can't you tell?!
Silly kids they were so excited to be out! Caelin got to sit on the saddle at Texas Roadhouse while they shouted "Yee Haw" for her!

I loved the email to Jeff. Honestly, look at the little things you do every day to keep the house running and the kids healthy. You are so amazing! I hope you have 60 more birthdays with Jeff by your side, sending you beautiful roses to remind you how beautiful YOU ARE! Happy Birthday.
