Happy Birthday Jace!!

My little boy turned 6 today! He really isn't my little boy anymore for one he has a little brother now and also he just isn't so little anymore. He is my cuddle bug though, he always wants hugs and kisses. How I hope that he will always want them and not be disgusted by them when he is a little older. What can I say about Jace....He is so smart and he amazes me all the time. He is a great big brother and loves to help with his little brother (as long as he isn't crying). He is a good kid for the most part, but he is also "a kid". We love you buddy! Happy Birthday!

Happy #6 Birthday!!!!!

Six Months Old!!!

My baby is six months old today and what a joy he has been to have around. He has the best smiles, even his Dad can't argue with that. Jett is the only one who can get his Dad to smile first thing in the morning.

He can sit up on his own, he moves around the house in the walker, he is up on his hands and knees (and sometimes his toes). Sometimes he scoots backwards, but he is getting better about the forward motion and any day he will be crawling all over the house. He loves his solid foods. I quit nursing and he is all formula and he is doing great with it, (mom on the other hand not so great, another story for another time). He had his first 11 hour night two days ago. That was nice. He his doing great!
So today we has his 6 month check-up and shots, and this is how he was in the Dr.'s office until they started poking and prodding. These are his current stats. He weighs 16 pounds 7 ounces, he is 26 inches long, and according to them he has a big head. His weight is in the 31%, his height is in the 35%, and his head well it is in the 76%. I don't think he has a big head, but I am his mother and a little prejudice, I think he is perfect.

When they started poking and prodding and giving shots he got really mad and started screaming (I hate that part), apparently so did Jace, when I looked over at him he had his ears plugged. He couldn't handle watching his little brother get picked on. My brothers probably would have laughed at me.

1. How long did you date before you got married? We met Labor Day 1998 then started dating (long distance) Memorial Day 1999 until he moved to Tucson in August 1999. Then we were engaged in November and got married in March.
2. How long have you been married? Coming up on 9 years (in March)
3. What does he do that surprises you? How he is forgetful about most things except when it comes to work. But I must also say how he figures anything out that surprises me the most.
4. What is his best feature? I would have to say his smarts. And of course how he never gets mad at me no matter how mad I get.
5. What is his best quality? I would have to say his affection. He is so affectionate even though I am not.
6. Does he have a nickname for you? Usually sweetie or gorgeous or beautiful. Depending on his mood.
7. What is his favorite color? I am not sure he has a favorite, but I would say maybe blue or green.
8. What is his favorite animal? Not animal people but he grew up with dogs that is my best guess.
9. What is his favorite food? He is not picky as long as it is a meal. But this time of year he talked about the "traditional Thanksgiving dinner".
10. What is his favorite sport? Not much into sports but he enjoys watching Jace play soccer or NASCAR if that is considered a sport.
11. When and where did you first kiss? Memorial Day 1999 I had dropped him off in Phoenix to fly back to Seattle and he kissed me in front of his dad's house.
12. Favorite thing to do as a couple? Anything that we do together, but his favorite is riding quads, which hasn't happened a lot lately.
13. Do you have any children? Three
14. Does he have a hidden talent? He amazes me all the time with all he knows and does but I don't know of a "hidden" talent.
15. How old is he? 34
16. Who said 'I love you' first? He did, I think!
17. What is his favorite music? Country... usually.. but he goes back and forth depending on his mood.
18. Do you think he will read this? Possibly but no guarantees.
