A Week in Utah....

After our annual lake trip my amazing sister Sherra took Caelin and Jace home with her to spend some time. BAD idea! Those two can be angels but when they get tired and don't get what they want they act like 2 year olds (not fun for me), and this is what happened when they got to Utah, (not fun for Sherra or her girls)! So I drove up Monday to get them and drove back on Friday, a lot of driving yes, but so worth it. I just love being in Sherra's home things are laid back when I am there (or so it seems). She is amazing for taking in an extra five for a week anyway. Meals are simple (which is better for me), the weather was perfect (I could send the kids outside), and her three daughters are just fun to be around, but mostly I just love being around Sherra. Sherra is honest and upfront about things (there is no beating around the bush with her and I LOVE that). She works full time but would pop in during the day to check on us. Too many late nights because real conversation would come once my kids were all asleep and that didn't happen very early since it is still light at 9:00.


Sherra isn't even a Grandma yet but she sure knows how to spoil them and get on there good side. Ice cream after dinner, yummy!

I also got to spend a couple of days with Rachel (who I have missed dearly). The first day we took the kids to Thanksgiving Point to the dinosaur museum which I even enjoyed. However whats not to like when the kids are entertained and having fun and you are in great company.
Then the next day we drove to Heber to spend the day with Rachel in her home town. It was a whirlwind day and the kids were tired but it was so much fun. First we ate lunch at Dairy Keen (yummy burgers), then it was off to Soilder Point, then to Wasatch State Park for some fishing and letting loose in the mountain air.

We ended the day with ice cream and a baseball game that the boys won.

These three little ones were so cute together all day (both days) its like they have known each other forever.


My drive to Heber was an amazing drive thru Provo Canyon, one I look forward to seeing again.
