Weekend Project/Fun!

So the work on the wall has officially begun. It looks so nice but has also been a lot of work, and we are just getting started (about 30 feet of a 340 foot wall). Jeff needs the manual labor but this project will be a long lasting one. Here are some pictures of the progress. Also over the weekend Caelin and Jace found a new toy. It started out as a piece of wood on a small pile of dirt. With a dad as an Engineer in the end they ended up with this. This was a whole new experience for them. I was telling them that when I was there age we had teeter-totters at school, and they were a little bummed out that they didn't have one at school. They sure did enjoy the homemade job they came up with.

Teeter totters are the BEST! It's weird to think of the things our kids will never experience that we had when we were kids.

And the wall is looking good - But it looks exhausting to me - I'm worn out from projects :)

So I mentioned to Jeff on Friday that I wanted to extend out our block wall on the side of the house. He walked right over, paced it off and told me how many feet, what kind of block I needed. He is amazing! I had NO idea your wall was that BIG. I can't imagine the amount of work it takes to put it in, he is a keeper that one :)
