Weekend Getaway!

Last weekend the kids and I were able to drive up to Nephi, UT to visit with my sister Sherra and her family. We had the best time up there, the only thing that would have made it better was having Jeff with us. Nephi was having their annual Ute Stampede, and on Friday we went to a parade that my sister and nieces were in, and then that night went to a Rodeo, (a first for my kids). They had "The Wild Child" at the rodeo as a rodeo clown/comedian/dirt bike trickster (if you ever have a chance to see him it is so worth it). My sister and I were laughing so hard we were crying. It was non-stop laughter for the whole 2 1/2 hours. It really was an amazing day and whole weekend. Thanks Sherra, John and girls for making it so memorable for us. I did go up there hoping for a break from the heat but the day of the parade and rodeo it was at least 95 degrees.

Caelin, Jace, and Savanna waiting for the next float to get candy.

Samantha in her cute cheer uniform!

Shayla in her cute cheer uniform! They really did look nice!

Sherra and her float, she had to guide the driver.

Waiting for the parade to start.

Jett enjoying some of the candy Aunt Sherra kept giving him at the rodeo.

Jace enjoying the rodeo.

Shayla and Caelin enjoying the rodeo.

The start of the rodeo. SIMPLY AMAZING! This was such a neat thing to see. The jumper brought the flag in and some of the Air Force group picked it up as they did the National Anthem. It was really neat to see.

At the end of the rodeo they had groups go out and do a coin dig, yes dig in the arena with dirt and who knows what else. My kids loved it but they didn't get any money.

"The Wild Child" jumped over this long ways. It was such a great show from start to finish.

Thanks again to the Carter's for making it soooo much fun!
