Catch up! Spring Break Week #1

So I am a little behind on this post but need to get it in anyway. The kids had Spring Break the 9th thru the 20th. So the first week we took the 5th wheel and went to San Diego for a long weekend. We left Wednesday night and came home Sunday. We also got to take cute Netta with us and the kids drove her crazy! We parked about an hour outside of San Diego at about 2:30 a.m. and slept in a little the next morning. Thursday we got checked in at the RV Park and just relaxed the rest of the day. The kids rode bikes and we walked down by the water and enjoyed the day. That first day was actually the best day as far as weather went the whole weekend. Friday we went to the San Diego Zoo. That was a lot of fun. I even thought so. Jace got a little tired that day walking everywhere, I didn't think I needed a stroller for him, but I guess I could have used it. It seemed as though we had been all over the zoo, but I think we missed a few animals. It was well worth it and I would love to go again and not try to do everything in one day. Then on Saturday we went to the beach after lunch and had sweatshirts and pants. The sweatshirts came off for a little while but it was pretty chilly for a day at the beach. I have pictures from the zoo and the beach but they are stuck on my camera I will post them later.

Also on our grand adventure Jett took his first big fall. He pushed the screen door open and fell out of the trailer onto the pavement. Suprisingly there was no blood, just a scraped nose, a few tears and some rocks in the mouth he was ok. Here is a couple of pictures to show his scrapes. They really are hard to see but the pictures were cute anyway!

Good post Casey! Love to hear about your adventures. That's how most of our trips to the beach in California have been - Chilly! Guess we are going the wrong time of the year :)

I just can't believe you drove all that way just to hang out at the RV park. I guess its one way for the family to get together. Next time you hit the zoo you have to do the bus, you see all the animals and your legs get to rest while you ride. You can get off and on the bus as much as you like. Jake even had a nap on it while we were there 2 years ago.
