4 Months....

Calissa turned 4 months old on Sunday and today was her well baby check. It is hard to believe she is already that old, time is flying by. So her stats today were:

Weight - 13 pounds 12 ounces - 53%

Height - 25.3 inches - 83%

She is a great eater, a good sleeper, and an all around happy baby. I have often wished over the past couple of months that time could just stop and she would stay little, but everyday seems to just fly by for one reason or another.

I love you baby girl!!

Looking Back.....

So today I turn 35 and it feels like a milestone. It is hard to believe that I am that old...where oh where has the time gone??

Born April 6th 1975, Springerville, AZ with complications from Group B Strep, was flown to St Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix where I was given 1 out of 7 chances to live. With much faith and prayers from my family I am here today.

At age 5 I started Kindergarten at Reserve Elementary, Reserve, NM. I vividly remember Mrs. Cole and the smell of the classroom and those "terrible" afternoon naps we had to have.

At age 10 my mom finally had a baby girl (Teonna) after having 4 boys in a row after me.

At age 15 I was working at AirStar (my favorite job ever, next to being a mom of course)

At age 20 I can't say I know exactly what I was doing at that time. I tried college and it didn't agree with me at the time. I dated all the wrong guys, but the things that kept me going were my family and my job at AirStar (a seven year dream job)

At age 25 I had just married the most amazing man. He is caring, considerate, and most of all loves me just the way I am. I never dreamed I would find anyone like him.

At age 30 I was a mother of two (Caelin 4 and Jace 2). How far I had come.

Today at age 35 I just celebrated my 10 year wedding anniversary and my marriage is better than ever. I am now a mother of four (Caelin 9 (today), Jace 7, Jett almost 21 months, and Calissa 4 months).

And lastly at age 35 after all my babies are here I am working my butt off to literally get my butt off.

And that is where the time has gone.

Spring Break 2010! (Part 1)

We had three weeks of Spring Break this year. Week one was a nice change of pace. At the end of the week on Friday I took a Spring Training game where the D-backs took on the Oakland A's.

"Real sports fans here"

Jett loves to be outside and Jace loves to be with friends

Caelin loves to hang out with the boys, that is one thing that never bothers her.

Week two was long and by the end I was ready for them to be back in school.

Rodeo Weekend!

This past weekend was Rodeo Break from school. I think this is only a Tucson thing where the kids get out of school on Thursday and Friday during the annual Tucson Rodeo. We haven't ever been to the Rodeo but we enjoy a long weekend at the sand dunes. It had been a couple of years since we had been, but we made it this year. For my little brother Vince's Christmas gift he got a coupon for a weekend at the dunes with food, bed, running water, and toys to ride. So this is the weekend we chose. I spent most of the weekend in the trailer with two sick babies. Jett and Calissa have had colds with fevers. Jett had a few moments where he felt better and wanted to be outside and play but for the most part he stayed inside (which if you know Jett that is so unlike him).

This was Calissa favorite spot for the whole weekend.

They all enjoyed the sand.

Jace really enjoyed racing his car in the sand.

Jeff had a good time, and this was the first time Vince had ever been and he thought it was simply amazing. Caelin and Jace rode and rode their quads and seemed to have a great weekend. I did have a relaxing weekend, with two babies that slept most of the time and with nothing that had to be done, I read a book for the first time in I don't know how long.

The kids love the toys as much as Jeff does.

Vince loved just relaxing almost as much as riding

This week I have had the cold and not felt great but it is Friday and Spring Break is here, so things are looking good.

Well-Baby Checks!

So last week Jett and Calissa had their well-baby check-ups and shots (ugh). Both are happy and healthy, but here are the numbers.

Jett - 19 months and 4 days
Weight - 23lbs 14 oz (only in the 20th percentile)
Height - 33.8 inches (in the 78th percentile (wow!))

Calissa - 10 weeks and 6 days
Weight - 12 lbs 5oz (in the 70th percentile) my biggest baby and a great eater.
Height - 23 inches (in the 55th percentile)

Dr. said both looked great and was happy with the numbers. Jett had to have one shot and he took it like a big boy it hurt him and he let me know, but toughened up real quick and would grab his arm ever once in a while and say "OWWW". Jett has finally outgrown his reflux and is no longer on medication. It took a while but glad he outgrew it and is healthy. Calissa is my baby that has spit the least of any of them. It does make it much more enjoyable.

A couple of weeks ago we had some pictures of the kids taken and I haven't seen all of them yet but here is two that turned out so cute.

Hopefully much more pictures to follow soon!

WE DO STILL EXIST :o)

So to say the least the past couple of months have been crazy. Four is a lot of kids and although they are "the best" kids I am still having a hard time adjusting. It didn't help however that Jeff spent 2 1/2 weeks in England. He is home now and thanks to great friends we made it through and know that if we "HAVE" to we could do it again.

Calissa is almost 2 months already. She is a good baby. Happy and content except around dinner time, and sleeps 8 or 9 hours except the past couple of days (I think it must be a growth spurt).

Jett is growing fast and lets us know what he wants and when he wants it. He still is the family comedian and keeps us on our toes. He struggled the most while his daddy was gone, but looked forward to the Skype calls almost everyday. He adores his little sister and can't ever give her enough kisses.

Jace turned 7 a couple of weeks ago, where has the time gone. He wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese (my least favorite place), and of course Jeff was gone so with the help of Rachel I managed to get four kids there and home and of course they all loved it. Thanks again Rachel!

Caelin is a huge help for me. She will bathe Jett, do dishes, vacuum, or almost anything else I ask (if in a helping mood, which is a good majority of the time). She loves school and continues to succeed.

As for me I am beginning another weight loss endeavor. I am hoping by posting info here I will be better at staying on track. I don't want to look like I do in this family photo.

It's A Girl!!!

Calissa finally arrived. She was born December 4, 2009 at 9:31 p.m. She weighed in at 8 pounds even and 20 3/4 inches long. She had a few issues coming into this world but she is happy and healthy. She was face up and bruised her forehead. Because of her positioning I felt a lot of labor towards the end even with the epideral. Why anyone would choose all natural is beyond me.

"She looks a little traumatized from the ordeal but is doing well now".

We were a little concerned as to how Jett would react to this new little person taking his territory but so far so good. The first evening was a little rough, but he hadn't had a good nap that day and I am sure that contributed to his attitude.

"I think he is going to be just fine"

We are adjusting to a busier house and precious baby.

"Aren't they cute"

Of all the kids Caelin was the most excited for the little sister.
